I have been working at New Song Christian Academy since 2012 as the teacher’s aide in the 3-year-old class and the 4-year-old class. I grew up in Southern California and have been a resident of the Anthem community with my husband and our daughter since 2003. I hold a degree in General Studies from Moorpark College Ca. I had always been actively involved in my daughter’s schools from being the room parent to PTA. I had also been a soccer mom for 13 years and the team manager for my daughter’s competitive soccer club. I enjoy my free time with my family and our pets. It’s a wonderful feeling to have that connection with the kids and families. I love setting a good foundation that will prepare them for kindergarten and most of all they leave New Song with the love of learning!
Teaching young children is my passion and I feel so fortunate to get to do what I love every day and to work at such an amazing school! I have been teaching at New Song Christian Academy since 2016, and I am looking forward to the start of another wonderful year at New Song! My teaching career began at Good Samaritan Christian Academy in Las Vegas. What I enjoy most about working with this age group is their enthusiasm for learning and their boundless imagination. I am so blessed to have two amazing young adult children; Megan and Brandon, a wonderful husband; Adam and the cutest little fur baby; Teddy. We have lived in Henderson since July 2007. I love spending time with my family playing board games, camping, hiking, swimming, and enjoying backyard barbecues. I feel so blessed to have this opportunity to work with your children and to get to know your families this school year!
I am very excited to work with the Pre-Kindergarten class and continue being a member of the New Song Christian Academy as I have been for the past 5 years. I was born and raised in Ecuador and moved to the United States in 2005. My husband, Jose, is retired Air Force. In 2013, God blessed us with a beautiful daughter, Alina. I studied computer science in Ecuador and international languages after moving to Las Vegas. I worked with the Clark County School District as a teacher assistant for kindergarten. I look forward to meeting you and your children.
My professional training and experience have given me the tools necessary to create an enriching learning environment and provide active learning opportunities for students. I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I then continued my studies at UNLV and earned my master’s degree in Education, with an emphasis in Special Education. I have worked in the field of early childhood education for 16 years. My wonderful family and I moved to the Anthem area of Henderson in 2006 and we absolutely love this community! I am so blessed to have this opportunity to be a partner with you in teaching and nurturing your child in a positive, inviting Christ-centered environment.
I am Birgit Drowanowski and I have been teaching here at NSCA for 12 years. I have 17 years of teaching experience. I am a German native and have taught Kindergarten prior to my move to the USA in the late 90’s. I obtained my teaching degree from Germany as well as an early childhood education degree from the USA and have an associate degree in Psychology. I love teaching Kindergarten! I create and offer an enriching learning environment with active learning opportunities for my students. Young children are eager to learn, explore, experience, and witness new things. Seeing that smile and connection when I help a child learn something new and setting a strong foundation that prepares them for first grade is very rewarding. In my off time I like to spend time with my daughters and our many rescue pets.
I am so excited to be a member of New Song Christian Academy as a teacher’s aid for the 3-year-old class. I was born and raised in El Salvador and moved to California in 1998. I moved to Las Vegas with my family in 2016. My 8-year-old daughter was a preschool student at New Song Christian Academy, and I was actively involved as a volunteer where I found out that I love working with children. I’m very fortunate to have this opportunity to work and be part of our New Song school community.
I am Tina Cook. My husband and I have been married since 2008 and have 2 boys and 1 girl. I graduated from Cal State Long Beach with a degree in Business management, administration, and a minor in photography. Before joining New Song Christian Academy, I was a stay-at-home mom for almost 13 years. During that time, I was actively involved in volunteering in our church nursery on Sundays, teaching Sunday school for the 3-year-old class, and leading the Puggles (age 2 and 3) in AWANA. Can you tell my favorite age group to work with? I am excited to see their eyes sparkle when they learn new things, being active with them when they sing songs, and being overly dramatic when we read books together. I loved seeing how New Song Staff treated my youngest when she attended and am blessed to be part of this amazing community in teaching your child/children.
My name is Veronica Ramos and I am a mother of 2 wonderful daughters. I am also a wife of an amazing husband who is serving as an Airman at Nellis AFB. I was raised in Acapulco, Guerrero, Mexico and moved to the states when I was a child. I love to inspire children to reach their full potential, and I cannot wait to also teach them about our Heavenly father and our Savior Jesus Christ. This will be my first official year as a lead pre-k teacher, guiding our little lambs to God. I am honored and blessed for the opportunity. I am looking forward to meeting each and everyone of you. Blessings to you all.
I grew up in sunny Southern California and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1992 to attend UNLV. I earned a BS in Hospitality Management which set in motion the next 30 trailblazing years throughout the hotel, food & beverage and event planning world. My husband, Kevin, and I adopted our first daughter, Olivia in 2016 and a new journey began in so many ways. I became a mom and a stay-at-home mommy; in 2020 we were blessed to adopt our second daughter, Violet. We also have 3 big doggies, 4 cats and 3 tortoises to round out the craziness! I love hanging out with my family and friends, good food & bevys, BBQ’s, being poolside, lakeside and beach-side. I am looking forward to this next adventure ~ being part of the NSCA family and getting to know and cherish all of you and your families!
